Crashes can happen at almost any time and any place. It’s important for the police to determine who is at fault. This will help provide the evidence you will need to make a claim against the other party for the injuries and damages that have occurred as a result of their negligent acts.

Police in Poughkeepsie are asking for witnesses to come forward after a three-vehicle collision resulted in injuries. The Aug. 20 report states that the crash happened along Route 9. It happened just before 5 p.m.

A 55-year-old woman from Armenia was driving her Toyota RAV4 South on Route 9. As she approached the intersection of Beechwood Avenue, she tried to make a U-turn. Unfortunately, there was a motorcyclist heading her direction. It was then that she hit a 2006 Honda motorcycle that was driven by a 24-year-old man. Following the initial collision, the motorcyclist went on to strike a BMW sedan that was being driven by a 29-year-old woman. The fortunate news in this case is that the motorcyclist did survive. He did, however, suffer serious injuries. The two other drivers were not hurt in the multi-vehicle crash. The police have reported that no one is suspected to have been impaired at the time of the collision.

In crashes like this, it would be possible for multiple people to get hurt or to be killed. It’s fortunate that the people involved weren’t killed in this collision. If you’re hurt in a motorcycle crash or crash with a driver who wasn’t paying attention, you can file a claim and assert your right to compensation.
